Money; money is the motive for most people. Money is the life blood of so many people, and has been for centuries. It drives men to perform acts against their fellow man and not think twice of it. To lie and cheat your way into the inside of the steel bunker known as the upper class, where the world is nothing but pricetags, bottom lines, shareholders, and market values. It feels like all this has been said before, and I'm just repeating it all for myself. I watched a good video by Horses yesterday, All of your problems have something in common, and it explained where we're at pretty well. That feeling we share that things aren't alright, but trapped in a false dilemma that this is as good as it gets.
Most people I've talked to that defend where we're at talk of things like how "it's every persons right to go and make a living for themself," or some other things I can't remember. The point being that most everyone I've talked to that likes the system we're in has/was in a well paying job, was born into good circumstances, and does not have ... I'm going to lunch break now. I'm trying to wax philosophical about stuff that I really don't know much about. I am in the system. I had opportunity. I am comfortable. I feel weird about that, because had the dice been rolled differently I would not be the man that I am today. A broken bone, job injury, running with different crowds. Who knows.
